Babylon Pro 5.0.6

Traduce palabras de inglés a español y viceversa.

Babylon es una utilidad que permite traducir palabras y expresiones del inglés al español y a la inversa fácilmente.

Podrás traducir palabras y/o expresiones en páginas Web, correo electrónico, textos, algunos juegos, menús, etc.

Las ventajas principales de Babylon son su extensísimo vocabulario, su facilidad de uso y su posición fija en la barra de tareas, que permite servirse de él mientras se utiliza cualquier otra aplicación.

Babylon es multi-idioma. Cada una de sus versiones incorpora uno o más diccionarios, pudiendo añadir fácilmente diccionarios adicionales, disponibles en un amplio número de idiomas.

Además de traducir, Babylon también es capaz de realizar conversiones de moneda, de zonas horarias y de unidades métricas.

Desde el propio programa podrás descargar motores de voz para escuchar así la pronunciación de cada palabra, aprendiendo su significado y a la par su pronunciación.

Gracias por los seriales. Hay varios que funcionan. Sin embargo, hay q hacer algo mas para no perder la activacion. Lo que sucede es que Babylon se conecta regularmente a su sefvidor para actualizar el programa. En ese momento detecta los seriales invalidos y desactiva el programa. Eso me paso con el de PEOPLE y MELVIN. Lo solucione evitando que se conecte a la actualizacion. Para eso ocupe ZoneAlarm. No lo dejo conectarse bajo ningun motivo. Para q me traduzca baje el diccionario ingles-español. Asi no necesito q busque los significados en internet. Hasta ahora ningun problema.

Lo que dice Lalo en 54, tiene sentido y el procedimiento que describe merece probarse, ZoneAlarm puede aislar Babylon y una vez que este activado debe durar un par vde años al menos la "licencia". Lo probaré en casa.

En la oficina, acabo de activar la version 5.0.6 R13 con PEOPLE y funciona de maravilla. Buena Imperator.

Bueno, lo del zonealarm es como ellos dicen, aisla el programa, pero el programa tiene una opcion en la viñeta "conexion" que esta marcada por defecto que dice que conecte al server por actualizaciones automaticamente. Hay que desactivar esa opcion y listo

Nikos, I imagine that Kerio Personal Firewall has analog functions as ZoneAlarm and you can be able to isolate Babylon from connecting to update thus avoiding also the deactivation of the serial number.

My own version of Babylon is 5.0.6 (r13) is still functional at office, only deactivating the check box for automatic update. I've used the data given by Imperator in the message Nº 3 of this forum.

OK, I've used both licenses from message Nº 3 and message Nº 62 and both function perfectly, tell you what, you have to install the program as trial and NO insert the licenses on install, after the install is complete you must set in ZoneAlarm the isolation of Baby, after that you can make right click mouse on the icon tray and Enter License.
Nº 3 is a two years license whereas Nº 62 is an active license, only odd is that with none you have access to Oxford Dictionary nor glossaries due the isolation of program.
Next experiment is try to download some glossaries only deactivanting the Check for Updates in the Configuration option, of course I will let ZA connect this time.

Hi, everybody, How are u? Well, I only want say you all, that if You have one license opertative of babylon the option more SURE for BABYLON NEVER FAULT is have a Firewall that disable to babylon v5.06 enter to the internet and babylon will run perfect for the time of the particular lisense.
I recommend, due to that will be disable the dicctionaries Oxford, that you download and install a lot of glossaries for babylon and this won't need go to seek information to the internet, thus avoid us that it's conected to server of babylon that will scan our PC, to see if our license is a clon disabling babylon if that's it, and will be us very sad. Look you all the web site of babylon in the "Dictionaries & Glossaries" options there is a few very good like "britannica.com" (size 8MB) and freeware for download; the link is:

Relate to what Humming tell us in your message Nº69 (good number lol, xD) IS NOT RARE OR ODD that dicctionary Oxford is not active with the licenses that you indicate, inasmuch this licenses can to use this dictionaries, but only when babylon interplay with internet. Babylon v5.0.6 (r13) don't brings the dictionaries oxford in the setup or install, You can go to "menu-->Glossaries--> Glossary Options" and this will open one emergent windows that indicates the glossaries available, and you will see that I tell you. Therefore if you use a firewall, the dictionaries won't run. Now, You say that your next step is download glosaries, deactivate check box of update and to have active firewall for to use dictionary oxford, but I lament tell you that even so is not posible. I believe that the only actual option for to use dictionary Oxford is have deactivate check box of update, ( to exception of to use a crack to this version, but I haven't found even :s), but asumming that is a risk for expiration of the software. well, is all for now :p

Hola a Todos q tal? ...Solo quiero comentar q la opcion mas efectiva y segura para q babylon EFECTIVAMENTE NUNCA FALLE es tener un Firewall (como Zone Alarm, McAfee o Panda o cualquier otro) que inabilite TOTALMENTE a babylon v5.0.6 (r13) acceder a la internet y la cosa correrá perfectamente durante el periodo respectivo de la licencia particular.
Recomiendo, (en caso de optar por esta opción) debido a que no se tendrán disponibles los diccionarios " Concise Oxford Thesaurus" & "Concise Oxford English Dictionary", que instalen una buena gama de glosarios para que babylon no tengan q recurrir a buscar información en la web evitando conectarse al servidor de babylon q nos examina nuestro programa en nuestro PC, para ver si nuestra licencia es clonada desactivandola si asi lo fuera y dejandonos a todos muy tristes!.
Pueden visitar el sitio de babylon y en "Dictionaries & Glosaries" hay enciclopedias como la "britannica.com" bastante utiles (pesa alrededor de 8MB) que se puede descargar gratuitamente el enlace es:

Respecto de lo que dice Hummingbird en el mensaje nº69 (good number lol, xD) NO HAY NADA DE RARO O EXTRAÑO en que NO te funcionen los diccinarios de Oxford en tu babylon v5.0.6 (r13) con las lisencias q has mensionado, pues ESTAS LICENCIAS SI TE PERMITEN hacer uso de tales diccinarios, pero SOLO a través de la interacción de babylon con la internet...
Babylon v5.0.6 (r13) no viene con los diccionarios incluidos en el instalador o setup, Insisto en que los dicconarios "Concise Oxford Thesaurus" & "Concise Oxford English Dictionary" requieren conexión a internet para funcionar, si vas a "menu-->Glossaries--> Glossary Options" se desplegará una ventana que te indicará los glosarios de los que dispones (que son los q evidentemente has instalado ) y podrás ver lo q digo, Por ende si empleas un Firewall bloqueas totalmente al programa y obviamente no te funcionaran los diccionarios de Oxford. Tu dices q ahora tu proximo experimento es descargar glosarios y desactivar la casilla de actualizacion automatica y aun asi tener el firewall activo con bloqueo para babylon, para q los diccinarios te funcionen, pues lamento desanimarte pero aun asi no te funcionaran. Creo q la unica opcion actual para tener babylon con los diccinarios de oxford activos es solo tener desabilitada la casilla de actualizacion automatica y nada mas,( bueno otra opcion es q este disponible un crack para esta version, pero aun no lo he encontrado :s ) ,pero arriesgandose a q el babylon expire. Bueno solo eso por ahora... suerte a todos...

Hiya! I did the experiment deactivating the Check for Updates in the Configuration option, this time I allowed ZA to connect Baby to the Internet and download and automatic install the set of all the glossaries this license allows.

Furthermore with the tip from Mario Antonio, I was able to download and "Install glossary from disc" the Britannica glosary.

Notice that for the very last glossary I even didn't require to set up my ZA, it was only the browser in action and then the quoted option from Baby Menu.

Hola Alejandra para saber la versión que tienes debes ir a la opción "menu" ( ubicada en la ventana del programa ) --> despues seleccionas en el submenu la opcion "ayuda" y finalmente selecionas la opción "acerca de babylon" ; ahi se despliegará una pequeña ventana con la información de la version y desde ahi tambien podras ver que licencias tienes activas.

El mensaje Nº 69 de Hummingbird merece especial atención, allí está establecido claramente que Babylon debe instalarse, (y yo añado, o como corresponda, borrar y reinstalar), en modo de prueba, se pueden bajar los glosarios que quieran estando en modo de prueba y luego cuando todo está residiendo en nuestro disco duro, usar ZoneAlarm para impedir que el programa accese al Internet y RECIEN entonces insertar las licencias provistas.

He usado ese procedimiento sin problemas. Inténtenlo.

usando el bloqueo del Zone Alarm no debería perderse la funcionalidad. La casilla de verificación acerca de updates automáticos del babylon no es de preocuparse, sólo bloqueen el programa con un buen firewall. Lo he hecho asi por varias semanas y ha funcionado sin problemas. Los glosarios los pueden bajar después de la página del babylon al disco duro, y luego usar la opción "instalar glosario del disco". Es decir según lo veo yo, nunca jamás necesitaremos que el babylon se conecte a internet.

PS. todo esto lo desubrí demasiado tarde ya había perdido la licencia para usar el OXFORD dictionary. Si alguien conoce otra me puede salvar, me quedan sólo 8 días de oxford.

El problema de los serials con babylon de las versiones mas recientes (de 2004 en adelante) es que los servidores de babylon checan via online las serials introducidas y aunque te las hayan aceptado..ellos te las invalidan despues de determinado tiempo(comunmente son 8 dias) . Asi que para resolver el problema "aisla" por completo el programa de cuialquier contacto via online, desactiva la acualizacion automatica y cancela todos los accesos desde la red a este program mediante tu firewall...y problema resuelto yo llevo con el proggy working por ya 4 meses....

Todo me ha funcionado muy bien.

Alejandra hola... es Mario no marco jajj ... sorry pero hace tiempo que no surfeaba por estos lados, pues te dire ya que nadie a respondido a tu pregunta. Para descargar una versión mas reciente solo debes ir al sitio de babylon (www.babylon.com) y descargar la versión última disponible entiendo que aun es la v5.06 (r13) también puedes descargar las que se indican en el mensaje Nº 45 si es q quieres traducción directa desde aleman a español y de frances a español y viceversa, la de ingles no la nombro por q viene por defedcto en el programa. bueno obviamente esa version que descargaras solo funcionara 30 dias si es que no le ingresas un serial y sigues los pasos de aislamiento del programa que se han indicado en los mensajes anteriores para q no te falle. bueno eso por ahora & I see you soon

You shouldn't worry about it being banned - look at how many functioning codes there are! - In practice the babylon v5.0.5.r7 base application is fine & all licences are valid at that revision level - later revisions just make it harder to use premium glossaries & do not add any significant functionality in using babylon.

If you could share the M-W Code it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having trouble finding the appropriate serial for the Van Dale Dutch German Dutch dictionary. It seems to me that the vivaandr licence is wrong. I've searched it on many other sites, but everywhere I look, it is al the same. Can someone please help me?

Anoche instalé Babylon 5.0.6 (r13) en una antiquísima PC con Win98 siguiendo el siguiente procedimiento:

1. Instalación de ZoneAlarm (free version).
2. Instalación en modo de prueba de Babylon
3. Aislamiento de Babylon usando ZoneAlarm:
a. En la pestaña Program Control de ZA, añadir Babylon (aparecerá como Babylon Information Tool)
b. Hacer click sobre esa línea aparecerán las opciones Allow, Block, Ask.
c. Elegir Block.
d. Salvar los cambios.
4. Instalar la licencia, asegurarse primero que Babylon haya quedado aislado
a. Click derecho sobre el ìcono de Babylon.
b. Elegir opción Enter license …
c. Registered to:
d. License code:
e. Ingresar la licencia elegida, en mi caso usé la que aparece en el mensaje 34 pues es la que permite usar los glosarios y tesauros Oxford.
f. ENTER
g. Debe aparecer el mensaje que la licencia ha sido ingresada satisfactoriamente. En caso contrario probar con las diversas licencias que han sido compiladas.
5. Descargar directamente con el browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) los glosarios necesarios: Oxford, Britannica, Spanish-English, etc.
6. Instalar glosarios desde el directorio donde han sido almacenados
a. Click derecho sobre el ìcono de Babylon.
b. Elegir opción Glossaries
c. En la persiana que aparece elegir Install glossary from disk …(aquí indicar el directorio donde fueron almacenados los glosarios descargados en el paso 4.)
d. Repetir esta secuencia hasta que todos los glosarios deseados hayan sido incorporados.
7. Listo! Los glosarios de Babylon ya están íntegramente en el disco duro y el programa ya no requiere acceder al sitio.

Si alguien tiene problemas con el español, avisen para hacer una traducción decente.

Procedure to install Babylon

1. Download and install ZoneAlarm (free version).
2. Download and install Babylon in try mode
3. Isolation of Babylon using ZoneAlarm:

g. It must appear the message that the license has been entered satisfactorily. Otherwise try with the diverse licenses that are compiled.
5. Download directly with your browser (IE, Firefox, etc.) the necessary glossaries: Oxford, Britannica, Spanish-English, etc.
6. Install glossaries from the directory where they have been stored
a. Right Click on Babylon icon.
b. Choose Glossaries option
c. In the window that appears choose Install glossary from disk... (Put here the directory where the glossaries unloaded in step 4 were stored.)
d. Repeat this sequence until all the wished glossaries have been incorporated.
7. Done! The glossaries of Babylon are already completely in the hard disk and the program no longer requires interplay with Internet.

Thank you Nombre and thank you Eraan for the link! The patch worked for me. My babylon is 5.0.6(r13) . It does NOT work on 5.0.5 . Btw it is not mentioned in the "licenses" window that the Meriam websters Dictionary is now activated but the count down is stopped.

Hola a todos, de un tiempo a esta parte experimento dificultades en mi PC, luego de instalar el patch, he revisado con McAfee antivirus y no encuentro rastro de virus, lo cierto es que mi PC experimenta como hipos de memoria y pierdo el control durante uno o dos minutos, que parecen una eternidad. Quiero saber si alguno de Uds. encuentra similar comportamiento en sus equipos. Por mi lado he comenzado a desinstalar gradualmente todos los programas instalados en las últimas semanas, actualmente he desinstalado Babylon y aunque no me libro de esa plaga de hipos de memoria, lo cierto es que están ocurriendo mas espaciadamente. He usado McAfee, repito y Ad-Aware Personal en busca de spyware ambos con resultados negativos. Agradeceré sus comentarios.

Por lo visto los seriales se revocan a cada rato, ultimamente me he dado cuenta que ahora es mucho mas dificil de descargar software gratuito por internet, muchos programas estan contaminados o dañados, creo q la epoca de todo gratis en internet se acerca a su fin.

Some days after patching:
-I coudn't run "Msconfig", "regedit" and "Hijackthis".
-My CPU and internet connection seemed to be slower.
-I had this new thing in my "startup": "Microsoft System Checkup (reg-Run)" (Registary Run Service activating the file "libsys32.exe")

"libsys32.exe" was in %WINDOWS DIRECTORY%/System32. Panda online Virus Check showed that it is "W32/Gaobot.JQK.worm". After its disinfection, I installed Babylon and applied the patch again, up to now, I have no problem.

The patch itself dosn't show any pest in it, in Panda Online Virus Check.

Take what I said with a grain of salt, as I am not sure if really the patch was responsible for all the problems. Let's see ....

Has anyone another license number for Concise Oxford Dictionary + Thesaurus than this one: name: Melvin serial: K90KA59T0HJSNJC4JDGA3XBJSUZDAMCR ? Because I have the problem that I downloaded glossaries while the aforementioned license was active (note: DO NOT DOWNLOAD GLOSSARIES WHILE HAVING ACTIVE LICENSES: delete ALL of them, then download the glossaries, and THEN enter the license codes again. Don't forget to isolate babylon with your firewall) therefore I can't use it anymore. Either I need another license number or someone has to tell me a way how to "let the computer forget" that this is a pirated license. I erased all registry entries relating to "babylon", but somewhere there must be an entry that declares the license as invalid.
For sure is that the license worked properly before I connected to the internet.

Thanks for your attention and hopefully someone can help me.

P.S.: If someone has a license for Britannica Concise Encyclopedia, please post it. Because I grudgingly install the patch mentioned just above. I'm too concerned about my system.

It's me again. After a lot of unsuccessful search since the last post I decided to try the patch mentioned above. I really was afraid because the characters in the patch-program weren't displayed properly (probably another language). But after I installed the patch I was deeply impressed. EVERY SINGLE GLOSSARY WAS LICENSED. Why? Because I now have the "Enterprise version" of Babylon. Even after I deleted all of my existing licenses every glossary keeped being licensed.
I recommend this patch to EVERYONE with version 5.0.6 (r13), since it seems to not work on former versions.

Change the file name to "babylon-patch.rar" after downloading, extract the included .exe file in your babylon directory (be sure to close babylon before patching, otherwise it won't work) and run the file. Then just click on the "Patch"-Button and your babylon.exe becomes backuped and patched. Now you can use whatever glossary you want. But be sure to isolate the new babylon.exe, because I'm not sure if an internet connection could detect the change (and I'm not willing to try it). Better download the glossaries through Babylons website.

I have a question ; Even I have lots of valid serials, when I setup the Britannica concise when the first two were active ( Oxford and Merriam webster ) Britannica became active, but Merriam webster turned to inactive. And ıt asked to purchase licence. I removed the glossary and then I installed the exe file again; this time I can not see merriam webster even the glossary options. ( Disapperaed)

here an installation instruction for babylon 5.0.6 an all glossaries: get babylon 5.0.6 and install it as test-version, than take this patch: https://www.sharemation.com/Evitaa/dir1/pic1.bri and unzip it with winrar in your babylon directory. Execute the patch and your babylon will run for a full version. Sorry, make sure before patching, close runing babylon!!! After that, you can add each glossary from babylon. com, and your patch makes the rest! (after each installation click on patch). And last not least - disable babylon for updates in the menue configuration.....enjoy it

Hi pedro, just download the webster combo exe file from babylon and instead of execute the file, unpack the exe file with ( for exemple ) winzip in a new map . then look for the *.bgl file you want to install. dubble click on the *.bgl to install your dictionary. that's all!

one of the other good point of it is that:
I myself couldnt find any seial for webster and britannica...I use it until the trial time will finish then I will follow that way again so it start from 30 days again so I can use addition 30 days and it continues...

Hi Hojabr,

I prefer to use the tricks as mentioned by maranello ( 200 and 201 ) combined with your (?) trick as mentioned in 195,196, 197 to solve the problem of serials and "corrupted babylon.exe" file. ( By the way it is very handy to write a reg file to execute your trick. Babylon checks your serials every day when it updates the exchange rates! So even if you don't use automatic update, it will finds out you are using a crack. With a reg file, it just take two clicks to restore babylon! )

You can also try this methode. set your computer clock ( for instance ) 5 years ahead before installing the babylon pro dictionaries and use a firwall to isolate babylon from the internet. This methode works only if babylon didn't turn down your try period before. ( As mentioned above, I prefer methode one )

Bajé con eMule lo propuesto en #300. Descomprimo el archivo y luego instalé el programa con Agregar o quitar programas. Encuentro 2 opciones: 1) Instalar a Modo de Prueba ó 2)La instalación definitiva donde hay que poner el Nombre de Usuario (vienen varios en un archivo word dentro del archivo general bajado) y el Código de Licencia. Yo instalé con la opción 2.
Hasta allí todo correcto. Luego hay 2 carpetas en el archivo bajado Crack 1 y Crack 2. Ambas tienen archivos Babylon.exe. ¿Qué hay que hacer ahora? a) Reemplazar alguno de estos archivos por el correspondiente en la carpeta de instalación del programa? ó b) Ejecutar alguno de estos .exe que encuentro en esas carpetas?

For #315: 24 What's exactly the trouble you have? I've installed and unisntalled old and new glossaries
and I haven't had any problem.
Maybe you installation of Babylon is damaged. I use the patch whenever I instlall new glossaries and no problem arise.

Try to unistall your Babylon, next open the Registry Editor (Start>Run>regedit + Enter) delete the Subkeys:
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Prod.cap"
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Babylon"
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Babylon"

Next using your Windows Explorer Search for the following folders and delete them (if exist):
C:\Program files\Babylon (or whatever other folder where you installed Babylon)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Babylon
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Babylon
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local settings\Application Data

*where USERNAME is the Account name where you're currently logged in
and reinstall Babylon.

Nana just do what posts #316 and #317 say, next do what it is said in #313.

If you don't know how to do the explained in #316 and #317, then do the following:

1. Just unisntall Babylon
2. Download the 2nd link from the post #313
3. Run it and click in the button [Fix serials]
4. Donwload the 1st link and any other glossaries you want from the post #313
5. Run the patch again (the one you downloaded from the 2nd link from the post #313) and click [Patch it]
6. If you install new glossaries after that, just apply the previous step whenever necessary

1. Todo es facil, solo bajen los glosarios del post #313
2. Despues de instalar Babylon y los glosarios que quieran apliquen el Patch (el 2do link de #313)
3. Cada vez que instalen nuevos glosarios vuelvan a aplicar dicho patch
4. Si quieres volver a usar los numeeros de serie que babylon te ha cancelado soolo corre el patch y pinchas el boton [Fix serials]

Salu2, a todos, en realidad muy pero muy bueno el foro. Sin embargo quiero agregar algo, que hasta ahora nadie ha comentado.

Algo que descubrí es que babylon se conecta a varios servidores diferentes para cada acción q realiza, así q solo tenemos q bloqueara el acceso a el servidor q valida los seriales así todo lo demás quedara funcionando sin ningún tipo de limitación. La validación de la contraseña la hace en la dirección IP 192.114.174.70. (Esto viene a ser clients.babylon.co.il)

Así q este es el método para poder usarlo con conexión a Internet.

Aunque algo técnico, 100% efectivo. (Yo lo vengo usando desde hace unos 22 días y perfecto)

1.- Descargar el Firewall Agnitum Outpost Firewall 1.0 free en español e instalarlo, al finalizar la instalación y ejecutarse por primera vez, nos anunciara que hay una versión mas nueva, y si queremos actualizarlo, le indicaremos que no y que no nos vuelva a ofrecer actualizaciones, ya que al actualizar lo hará a la versión paga y nos dará la limitante de 21 días de uso)

La diferencia de este Firewall, es que nos permite generar reglas para cada aplicación. (No se haya otro que permita igual configuración, de ser así puede usarse igualmente) por ahora solo instalaremos el firewall antes mencionado, ya nos ocuparemos de la configuración mas adelante, para poder disfrutar de todas las ventajas de babylon con conexión a Internet.

2. una vez instalado el frirewall procederemos a bajar e instalar (en forma trial o gratuita) la ultima versión de
Babylon (a saber para el día de hoy la 5.0.6) y de así requerirlo actualizaremos las cotizaciones de cambio monetario, ya que esta será la única función de babylon que no podremos disfrutar, ya que se conecta por el mismo servidor de validación de claves de usuario (seriales) (ósea no podremos contar con la cotización cambiaria diaria para todos los tipos de moneda)

3.- Tan pronto concluya la instalación el programa Firewall nos preguntara automáticamente q hacer con la conexión de este programa. Seleccionaremos la opción de permitir todo tipo de conexión a babylon (por los momentos).

4.- Una vez hecho esto procedemos a abrir el firewall

.- y en la pestaña de "opciones" encontraremos la opción "aplicaciones", entramos a esta opción y nos muestra todas las aplicaciones que usan conexión.

.- buscamos Babylon.exe que se debería encontrar entre las permitidas y la seleccionamos.

.- en la pestaña q dice "modificar" buscamos la opción q dice "crear regla"

.- en la ventana q se nos abre, seleccionamos "nueva"

.- se nos abre una nueva ventana dividida en 4 segmentos en esa primera de estas áreas ("1. Seleccione el evento de la regla") veremos 4 opciones, seleccionaremos la 3ra "si el equipo remoto es"

.- en el siguiente segmento ("2. Seleccione la acción de la regla") veremos 3 opciones "permitir" "Bloquear" "Rechazar”, estará seleccionada por defecto "Permitir", la deseleccionaremos para poder marcar Bloquear en su lugar.

.- en el siguiente segmento Veremos el texto siguiente>>> ("3. Definición de la Regla (Haga click en un valor subrayado para editarlo)"), en esta ventana veremos el siguiente dialogo "si el equipo remoto es indefinido bloquear" en donde la palabra Indefinido es un link (esta en letras azules y subrayadas) haremos click en este link, con lo que se nos abrirá una nueva ventana en la que veremos 3 opciones, seleccionaremos la 3ra "Rango IP" automáticamente se nos presentaran 2 campos donde ingresar los siguientes valores: en la primera la de la izquierda colocaremos: 192.114.174.000 y en la ultima la de la derecha colocaremos: 192.114.174.255. Haremos click en donde dice añadir y luego a aceptar.

.- de aquí en adelante solo haremos click en todas las ventanas que teníamos abiertas y con eso ya tenemos nuestro babylon funcionando y conectándose a Internet.

Como comentarios finales, agrego que he colocado ese rango de direcciones IP, ya que no siempre se conecta por una sola dirección IP sino por variadas, dentro de ese rango de direcciones IP q configure en el Firewall.

Estoy intentando hacer lo q pone en el post 353, pero al poner el intervalo de IP's a bloquear, me dice q la mascara de subred (la segunda IP del rango) no es valida, que debo de poner una contigua...tipo 255 255 255 0. Pero me da q si pongo esta me bloquea todo. Alguna sugerencia?

Hello, on Jun 19th, I installed B6.0.r20 at home and at office. Initially both functioned perfectly after using the #369 instructions, at home I have ZoneAlarm isolating Baby, at office NO.

Still at office I enjoyed until yesterday, last night I left my PC at office running some process, this morning I got a message from Baby that the rates info have been updated but when I tried to use it, I also got the message "Babylon corrupt program, please re-install".

I've uninstalled the program, cleaned all the remainder (Registry Mechanics is useful for that!) and tried to install again B6.0.r20, this time was impossible to install other than as a try with only 4 days left.

I cleaned again the PC and I've returned to B5.0.6.r13.
Is this a sign that it is necesary to have ZoneAlarm even after applying #369 instructions?
Will be enough to exit the program, in case I have to leave my PC all night working?

I'll appreciate your comments.

hello julius, im using #396 instructions, on my 3 home pc's, and its work for me wery good. i dont need any kinda of programs that block clients.babylon.com .. cuz babylon auto update and check if your info is hacked... (legal)
try to uninstall with #364 in the bottom you got there wery good uninstall instructions.
IMPORTEAT
keep in mind do not update babylon online. (like get new dollar bill...)

Thanks mP, I did what is suggested at bottom of #364 but after that and after executing one more time B5.0.6r13, those parameters in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHIN/SOFTWARE/Babylon/Babylon Client are restored as is restored the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/Prod.cap file.

I am afraid I will have to install once again ZoneAlarm at office in order to isolate whether B5.0.6r13 or B6.0.r20

Before I forget to comment, on Jun 23th I installed B6.0r20 at office following the #369 instructions and ALL is running smoothly. The amazing part is that I forgot install also ZA and Babylon is working fine without problems, with a lot of glossaries and dictionaries I've attached to it.
I think the regenerated Prod.cap file and the parameters at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHIN/SOFTWARE/Babylon/Babylon Client are not interfering in the operation.

Bottom line: You must try #369.

Eraser, te sugiero desinstalar totalmente el Babylon, usa Registry Mechanic o TuneUp Utilities 2004 para limpiar totalmente el registro, de tal manera que la siguiente reinstalación que hagas, no encuentre rastro alguno. Si no conoces esos paquetes trata de consegir algun otro freeware que te permita limpiar el registro.

No me queda claro si estas usando B5.0.6r13 o B6.0r20, mi sugerencia es que te pases al B6.

Aplica #361 siguiendo exactamente lo que dicen las instrucciones, luego es indispensable que apliques #369, luego podras añadir todos los glosarios y diccionarios que quieras. Absolutamente todo lo que quieras!

Yo tengo en uso los diccionarios que tu mencionas además de otros. Sin problema alguno desde el 23 de junio.

Interestig question, at http://www.babylon.com/display.php?id=175&tree=5&l... there is no entry point to a TRY icon for this Langenscheidt Dictionary of Chemistry and Chemical Technology English. There are others Langenscheidt Dictionaries, but not this one.
I imagine you have to locate someone willing to share that with you. Good luck.

I have the Babylon pro 5.0.4 (r14), and i can't find the Babylon r27 on the web so i can't do what #313 says
I already have download the crack but i need the r27 version.. i have 30 days before my Larousse Compact allemand - espagnol expire, so please if anyone knows what can i do please just post it thanks

I also would like to say that there is no need of installing a firewall to prevent babylon to connecting to the internet, i just choose a proxy connection and gave a random port and a random direcction to the congifuration, and it works just fine
